Unique house nestled between two large mounds, suspended above the forest floor. The main structure of the house is made of wood, with two large beams on either side stretching across the valley and anchored by concrete abutments.
A wooden floor links the beams together, giving the house a trapezoidal shape and a bridge spanning the canyon in the front of the house.
Kitchen and living room are located in the center of the house. The interior is quite minimalist, compact and mostly made of wood to match the design. A small black fireplace in the middle is the highlight for the room. The floor is made of maple wood with light colors that adds a warmth. Wood-exposed ceilings bring a rustic yet sophisticated feeling, friendly to nature.
The house is located on a ravine, located between two large maple trees, the house volume is calculated later to minimize the impact on the suspended floor area.
On the two sides of the house, one side of the large sliding glass doors creates an open space connecting the house to the outside environment. The outdoor staircase is made of metal, leading up to the roof and designed as an observatory providing panoramic views around. The entrance to the house is solid on both ends, where separate bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged.
A long hallway runs along the house and the opposite forest helps link the spaces together.
All wood materials used for the house are collected locally.
